PLAIN NOTES FOR THE HOSTED BETA

Privacy.
How the hosted beta handles data.

This describes Google sign-in, saved account data, character images, and the temporary OBS relay at vtubemaker.com.

Google sign-in and account records

Google is the only sign-in provider enabled for this beta. We request the basic openid, email, and profile scopes to identify your account and receive basic profile information. We do not request Gmail, Drive, or YouTube access.

Our hosted PostgreSQL database stores account identity, sign-in sessions, credit balances and ledger entries, test orders, and saved avatar and generation metadata such as prompts, job status, and image references. Session records can include an IP address and browser information. These account records persist separately from temporary OBS sessions.

Microphone audio stays in your browser

The studio asks for microphone permission when you enable it. It analyzes audio volume on your device to choose when the character talks. The application does not record or upload microphone audio. The hosted relay receives expression states, not the audio stream. Select your stream microphone separately in OBS.

Character images and private storage

Starter editing and uploaded-frame previews happen in your browser. Browser preferences and uploaded drafts may remain in local storage or IndexedDB on this device. PNG downloads are saved wherever your browser places downloaded files.

Saved account character frames are stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage. They are served through authorized application requests or a valid viewer link; the bucket itself is not a public image library. Creating a live OBS source also sends rendered frames to the hosted relay, where they are held in memory.

Viewer links and temporary OBS sessions

OBS and character viewer URLs contain access tokens. Anyone with a valid link may view the associated character frames and expression state. Keep these links private and avoid including them in public posts or screenshots.

Live relay sessions expire after two hours and are cleared if the service restarts. Closing a tab or ending a relay session does not delete saved account records or R2 images.

Contact and account requests

For account questions or requests to delete your account data and saved images, email [email protected].

Connected services

Hostinger hosts the application server, PostgreSQL account database, and temporary OBS relay. Cloudflare provides DNS, CDN request delivery, and private R2 image storage. Requests include network information such as an IP address. Google handles sign-in.

Any available checkout is hosted by Stripe in Sandbox test mode. Stripe receives the test checkout information entered there, and the application records test payment identifiers and status. No real charges are made; use test payment details only.

AI generation is currently disabled. Only when it is enabled and you submit a generation request will our server share your prompt and reference images with the configured image provider. References can include uploaded artwork or saved frames made available through short-lived image links. These providers have their own data policies. OBS and Discord are separate applications with their own settings and data handling.
