FROM YOUR STUDIO TO YOUR SCENE

Your PNGTuber in OBS.
One little browser source.

Your browser analyzes microphone volume. Our hosted relay sends expression states to OBS, which displays your character on a transparent canvas.

Open the character studio

Set it up in the studio

  1. Make your character. Customize a starter or upload your PNG expression frames.
  2. Enable the microphone. Allow browser access, choose the correct device, and check the input meter.
  3. Adjust the voice threshold. Speak normally. Raise it if room noise triggers talking; lower it if your voice does not.
  4. Create the browser source. Press Create OBS browser source and copy the URL. Check the relay status for connection feedback.

Add it in OBS

  1. In your OBS scene, add a new Browser Source.
  2. Paste the generated URL. Set Width to 1024 and Height to 1024.
  3. Place and resize the source in your scene. The avatar canvas has a transparent background.
  4. Keep the studio tab open, its microphone enabled, and both the studio and OBS connected to the internet.

Which part does what?

Studio control page

Analyzes microphone volume in your browser and chooses the expression. It needs microphone permission; audio is not uploaded.

Hosted relay

Holds rendered frames temporarily and sends talking and blinking state updates to the browser source.

OBS browser source

Displays the frames. It does not capture your microphone or supply stream audio.

Temporary links and connection checks

Live relay sessions expire after two hours and are lost if the hosted service restarts. Create a new source URL and replace it in OBS after either event. Return to the studio and check the microphone meter, relay status, and source URL if the character stops responding. Closing the control tab stops live expression updates.

The hosted URL can be opened wherever the service is reachable. Anyone with a valid viewer URL can view the character, so keep it out of public messages and screenshots. Account-saved frames may remain available separately from the temporary live relay.

Your stream audio is separate

Add or select your microphone as an audio source in OBS as usual. This character source controls the picture; it does not replace OBS audio setup.
